It’s next door to the Natural History Museum but don’t try them both in one day. The Science museum in one day is going some for youngish children anyway.
Getting to the Science Museum:
Exhibition Road, SW7 – use the South Kensington Tube. Opens at 10.00 and FREE admission. It’s next door to the Natural History Museum but don’t try them both in one day. The Science museum in one day is going some for youngish children anyway.
London's Science Museum is an amazing and very educational series of displays of scientific progress and development through the ages. Displays covering everything from space travel to medicine has major interactive exhibits. Children (of all ages) in particular love from the chances to try out working displays spread out over five large floors. Highlights include the aviation and flight, transport, space and computing and IT exhibitions, although you will find your own favourites.
The Science Museum also has its own IMAX film theatre (brilliant) so I’d advise you to check the museum’s website to find out what’s on when to arrange you itinerary round your own and your family’s interest, so you don’t get overwhelmed from the start.
