If you’re in London for more than a fleeting trip – and even if you are only around for a couple of days, just look what is on at the Barbican – whether its music, theatre, dance or perhaps an art exhibition, education activities for children or just something different and exciting to see – just try the Barbican. This year – Mozart’s birthday year, there is a Mostly Mozart Festival opening night on the 6th of June – and you are offered a free glass of champagne after the concert.

The programme is  Mozart Ascanio in Alba – music that was composed by Mozart at the age of 15 to celebrate a royal wedding in Milan in 1771. It will be sung in Italian with English sub-titles.

As usual for the foyer, there is free foyer music from 6.15 –7.15 so if you just wish to go for the ambience and a drink it will cost you only the cost of the drink !

Check out the programme at the Barbican on www.barbican.org.uk
