This wonderful restoration of Hay’s Wharf is really worth seeing. There are pubs and craft and market stalls around the walkways, wine bars and shops and at the centre of the Galleria is David Kemp’s 60ft sculpture with moving parts, water jets and fountains the children will love to see. It was originally built in the 1850’s as a dockside warehouse for a range of exotic spices, foods and tea brought by tea clippers from India and China. You can walk by the waterfront or go and see one of the special events (check with the website www.haysgalleria.co.uk)or visit Hay’s Galleria after visiting Tate Modern or Tower Bridge
