You’ll not want to visit London and miss a trip on the London Eye. On the side of the Thames, the South Bank, opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, between Waterloo and Westminster (use either tube to get there) the British Airways London Eye is a really thrilling and interesting ride giving marvellous views over London. (Especially folk say, at night). It’s a 135 metre Big Wheel and it takes about 30 minutes or so to travel round it. Each viewing “capsule” fits around 25 people, and they filter on and off as the wheel moves smoothly round. When I went I had a wait of around one and a half hours, so it is really worthwhile booking your ticket in advance.
